I also want to apologize for showing up a little groggy-ish, but that's what you get for jumping right out of a surgery to go to Oslo for a furmeet party. I'm glad I did, because you guys are better than any painkiller I've ever been prescribed!
I first met BinaryPaws, Kixt and Raywolf at the Oslo Østbanehall. We were soon(ish) joined by Joon, Tellos, Kal, Felix, Miles, Wolftale, heading to Peppes for some pizza, and after a few tries we were finally awarded with a table or two to seat all of us. Afterwards, we were joined by TwoSocks w/ girlfriend and as we reached Kal's and Tellos' place we were also joined by Kentaru and Simba. We had fun and played some fun games, tried some fun drinks and just had a good time. I didn't stay the night like Ray, Kixt and Miles (and, uh, obviously Tellos and Kal, surprise, heh!), but considering the situation, post surgery wise, I'm OK with that! I had a great time!
I'm proud to announce that we almost broke the record for the worlds largest gathering of Norwegian furs under one roof. In fact, split 1st place! Was close enough, and if everyone had a good time, it was a success in my very eyes.
It was also incredibly weird and powerful to meet furs I've been talking to over the NorPaws forum and irc channel since 2005. I'm glad to make new IRL furfriends, always.
Thanks, everyone!

Yesterday I found this site, called www.furry4life.com. It's seems like a pretty cool and fun site, all tough I'm not that into it _yet_. It seems to be directed towards furry lifestylers in general, which suits me fine.
Well, short post. But if you wanna come hang out, my page is http://furry4life.ning.com/profile/Silve
Uh, well, in the last days a few things have happened. I turned 17, which is yay. Now I can... uh, well, do stuff. Oh, birthdays are fun anyways. Free stuff, and unhealthy eatable things. So, that was pretty cool. 17 is an interesting number. Oh, then I had the audition for my school. Oh, happy times. I think I did a pretty bad job, but, I guess I'll make up for it. Next year that is, because I got in to the school. Musikk, dans og drama, roughly music, dance and drama, main subject music at Gjøvik VGS. Pretty awesome. I got in as a guitarist. I'm taking drum lessons, remember?
Ah, well. I've also hung a few furry pics on my wall. The studio is coming along nicely. I'll post pics when I can borrow a camera.
Also, check me out on Twitter: http://twitter.com/Silvestris, yay!

We ended up making enchiladas (or something, really spicy taco thing) which tastes YUMMY. We played munchkin, which I need to learn better 'till next time. We watched Pom Poko, which I found to be really cute, but also touching. I found the deal with having yiffy pictures hanging on the wall to be so awesome I can't even wait to do so myself! Awesome. Then we had a beer, and watched some TV, and just hung out. Cozy! They've got a really nice place, too.
Anyways, hanve't got any pics this time, since as I mentioned; my cam's fucked, but, oh well! I can't wait to go there again, since I love spending time with furries!

So, I'll be more active in the furry community from now on. Not just lurk around. Just because I've been depressed doesn't mean that I've done nothing at all; we've (my parents and I) been building my studio ever since november. It's actually going to be huge! Even comparing to pro studios. I'm so excited! I'd post a shitload of pics, but my cam is actually broken, and the people who sould repair it says that they can't because it's broken because of abuse. I'm a camera abuser!
Banzai!

- We started building the studio for real now.
I know I've been saying that I've been building on the studio for a year now, which is true. However, I've never actually touched the walls, windows or ceilings; I've been building in terms of equipment. Well, now we've actually started touching some things. This'll mean that the studio will now have two rooms, instead of one; one room for the sound to be recorded, and the control room. This'll mean, hopefully, better sound quality, obviously more space, especially if a band comes in to play. Yay for that. I've been filming this also. It's not done yet, but it's not a two-day job. It'll be exciting.
- I quit school.
Yeah, I totally did. I didn't feel good there. Also I was gonna change the educational path anyways. I started media this year, but next year I'm starting music. I really want to grow as a musician, and I think on the guitar part, I'll really have a lot to gain from learning from someone.
It's not too much of a big deal though. Just means I got the next 9 months without school. I'm looking for a job, but Haven't had too much luck yet.
I also think I'm gonna lay the mauwi wowi on the shelf, for a while atleast. I need to be productive now, and, present. Also it's usually a great source for paranoia. So it looks like there'll be no joint rolling for me for a few months atleast, if I don't get a sucky job, that is.
Well, anyways, this is some things that've been going on recently.
And you know what? I feel pretty damned fine.
Kamelot kicked all the ass there was to kick when I was in Oslo a couple of weeks ago (yeah, I'm actually posting a review of a concert in the matter of weeks, not months this time!).
I'd been waiting for this concert for like, half a year, and suddenly I'm there. It felt amazing to be back at Sentrum Scene.
The warm-up band I didn't really check out beforehand (I actually first knew their names when I saw the poster while standing in line waiting to come inside). Surprisingly, they where pretty good. The first band I actually didn't remember much of, really, but, they looked OK, I guess. Sound quiality again. Second warmup was pretty cool actually, but still I don't remember much.
And Kamelot came on stage and emidiently started kicking ass, and, it felt good. Really, I'd make sweet love to Roy Khan. The sound was pretty good, even, I think. Atleast I heard what was going on pretty clearly, so, I'm not gonna complain!
Oh, Khan is just so--- great, really. His voice is so-- binding.
Mhmm, strange habit I have is that I don't remember much of concerts, but this one is the one I remember the most of. I do remember that they played all the best songs you'd really want when going to a Kamelot concert, maybe except two which are really my favorites, but.
WILL YOU BE THERE, WAITING AT THE GATES OF DAWN WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES FOREVER?
Oh my, the headbanging.
Roy Khans grandfather even came on stage and played together with him, they sang a Norwegian folksong and I must say it was really great to see the two playing together, and I think they enjoyed it too. The whole evening was totally worth spending the night in a drunken females appartment because we didn't catch the train (don't look at me like that! We had no place to stay for the night, and, and, yeah!). Anyway, we made it here safe and I'm glad for the whole experience.
Ah, this was such an experience for a life time, and I want to thank Kamelot, and expecially Roy Khan, for making this such a great evening.
Next up is Iron Maiden. I don't think it'll top this one, but, still gonna be fun, I think!
Next up is Kamelot 3rd of may. Hello.
Speaking of Motörhead, I just remembered; I'm going to England in a few hours. York. Don't really know shit about what's up down there, but, hey, I'll find out, I guess! Last time I was in London, so it's gonna get interesting taking a trip to the country side (like York, right? Damn, I don't know shit about York).
Anyways, anyfurs who live down there gotta tell me, damn, 'cos I wanna meet ya. Ok, fuck, I should've written this, well, sooner than 7 hours before I go, but, hell, better late than never.
Oh, see ya in a week.
Anyways, I need to justify my brain by writing about a couple of concert I've been recently.
First one was with the classic rock band Rush from Canada, finally getting their asses over to Norway for the first 28 years or something.
Now, I've been listening to Rush quite alot, not like an epic amount or something, but enough, and I gotta say, that I dig them. They kick soundwave ass, so to speak. So I had high enough expectations, didn't except it to be better than Dream Theater or something, since I had quite a kick from their show with Symhpony X few weeks before.
Now, finally we get our asses inside (we we're almost first in line in our entrance, but we had seats, so it didn't matter anyway. We buy some merch and head to find our seats. Now, I guess I don't have to water this whole post out so fucking much, so I should start with getting to the point, or something.
First I was kinda surprised. A video appeared on stage (with actual Norwegian subitles, ha!), and actually it was quite funny; something about chicken or what, anyway, I felt really epic. Then Alex Lifeson came on stage, followed by Neil Peart behind his kit, and Geddy with his basses. They started with Limelight, man, it's actually an awesome song. Listen to it.
It was actually awesome all the way, I'd almost dare to say. I didn't know all the songs and all, but, hey, got to sing along to quite a few, and of course, howl out towards the stage at the ending of songs, which was really fun, and quite amusing.
When I look back at the concert it feels like they went on stage then jumped of after to minutes, but in reality they played for almost three hours straight, or something, with a short break (which was allright, since I had to pee after the (non-alcoholic) beer).
My poster got soaked in beer too. Yay.
I don't really have to say much more if you've listened to Rush before (if not, do it), other than:
Far cry.
Witch hunt
Malignant narcissism.
Passage to bangkok.
Y.Y.Z.
And many more awesome songs.
And the fucking drum solo, kick ass.
All in all, it was quite epic, and a really great concert and evening. Sure, we almost went on the wrong train (we noticed just before it took of from the station) and stuff, but it only added to the memories, you know.
I want to thank Rush for some awesomeness, thanks.
Next up is Dimmu Borgir, with Amon Amath and another Swedish band called Engel. I've been listening to Dimmu for a while, you might say. I have mostly all their albums, and stuff.
This concert I got tickets for quite some time ago, so it felt kinda wierd when the concert actually came around, heh.
Irritating enough, I haven't listened to Dimmu Borgir so much lately, but I still looked forward to the concert.
I'm just gonna jump to when it started.
Ok, so suddenly this scary ritual thing starts on stage, after Amon Amarth and Engel, which were pretty good both of them, actually, and then the folks of Dimmu Borgir enter onstage. It was quite awesome.
They opened with Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse, which is a cool song, Simen (the bassist and backing vocalist) sings on that song, and he's so awsome.
They played lots of stuff from their new album, In Sorte Diaboli, which I liked. The setlist was pretty good! Really cool to hear songs like Puritania, The Sacrilegious Scorn and of course The Insight And The Catharsis live. And it was cool to see Simen live, too.
There was something about their sound, it sounded kinda muddy, if I remember correctly, and I think Amon Amarth actually had better sound. That's not the bands fault, really, anyway.
It was really cool anyways, no matter how the sound quiality was, and that's kinda what matters, I think. They're also gonna release a DVD from the show.
All inn all, really cool evening.
Next up is Motörheads this Wednesday.
I had high expectations from Symphony X, and they fulfilled them. The played like what, half of the new album? Kickass. The only downside was the sound. It wasn't directly bad, at least not after a couple of songs, but, it could've been clearer. It wasn't the bands fault, as far as I know, so I don't blame them.
I mean, the second track, one of my favorites from the new album, Domination, I had to concentrate to really hear what was going on, which was a shame, but it was still kickass. Paradise Lost really kicked some ass, oh, mmhh.
Now, suddenly, Dream Theater enters the stage. Woah! I didn't have that high expectations to them, because as I mentioned, didn't think it was the band for me, but hell, they proved to kick ass as well! I don't really remember that much which songs they played because I didn't know that many, but I know they played In The Presence Of Enemies, and it kicked ass (did I mention it kicked ass?).
I don't know what to say really (other than it kicked ass). And Mike Portnoy knows how to play drums.
All in all, it was an most kickass evening. Kickass. Now I have to go out and buy some Symphony X and Dream Theater albums.
Here are some random videos from the concert I found on YouTube:
Still have lots of concerts left before Christmas, but I don't know if they can keep up with the quality of this one, but I can't tell yet!
But, seriously (ok, the boner-things was serious, but), you should check it out. Only real downside, is that it's only somewhere in the second chapter, because, believe me, you want more. So, lets just pray for that. Links at the bottom of the post.
I've just recently starting hunting for comics. Comics are awesome. If anyone has (furry (gay)) comics, you should send them to me, because, uh, or else I'll have to rape you to get my pleasure.
I also found Blotch's Dog's Days Of Summer. Like, what the fuck? Home come no one has ever shoved me these comics before?
Now, give me your comics.

Saw TNT tongiht. Oh it was awesome. I get why they call Ronni one of the world's best guitarist.
It was so awesome when they did an encore and played 10,000 lovers. Man, it's stuff my dad showed me on vinyl, you know. Just so awesome to get to hear them being played live, these classics, oh. And they played A Constitution too, from the new album. Ronni played the Violin-thingy-riff on his guitar.
If you have the chance to see them, do it.
Yep, I picked up my studio gear this and last week. The gear include but is not limited to:
24 Input Behringer Eurodesk SL2442FX-PRO mixer.
Prodipe DM drummic's (8 of them!).
External Soundcard/AudioInterface.
ADK A51 condenser mic.
Cubase.
My room is getting more and more filled with stuff now, but we'll might be expanding it.
Me and my band have allready have an recording, I'll post more on that later!
Yeah, finally, schools out for summer, YEAH! And, probably next week on Monday my studio enquitment will arrive, so I'll probably be busy setting it up and start to record stuff! More on this to come.
Other than that, I'm not exactly sure on what to do in the summer vacation, but it's Ok. I love to sit up late in the night and do furry stuff). I'll probably write a couple of furry stories, and maybe try drawing some more. Also I'll probably be writing some songs, including furry ones.
In other news, I'm listening to the new Sonata Arctica album that I bought a few days ago! I'll have to listen to it a couple of times before it sinks in, but it doesn't sound bad!
My home page is now launched! Check it out at www.twcarnivore.com!
The flash design that I've been working on for like months is still too buggy, so I made this design, but you can read more about it on the news section!
Now I'm gonna be updating it with more stuff, images, etc. Please tell me what you think about it!

Eh. A little late, but, well.
Yes, we did play infront of around 3000 people, it went well, I'd have to say (check video below).
The party at home was pretty cool too, I must say. Lot's of good food and stuff, yeah! And the cakes, whoa!
Anyhow, Ronny Le Tekrø, the guitarist of TNT was there, in Fjellhallen (because his son or something had his confirmation there too), he was sitting right next to my dad (they kinda know eachother) and he appearently said that he liked my drumming and my dad said that he invited us to come and visit him in his studio!
It was pretty awesome to play infront of such a big audience. Really good sound, and stuff.
There's a clip of it on YouTube: check it out.
I haven't got that many pics, but some people who took a quite a few said that they would send them to me. If I'm lucky there'll be some really cool ones that I might post here!
That's when my confirmation takes place. I'm gonna play infront of like 2000-3000, hopefully I wont be too nervous. After the ceremony which takes place in a big mountain hall we're going back here to eat and stuff.
Hopefully more journal entries will come tomorrow, with pictures!
